Mlle Agathe’s snail slime soaps, made by cold saponification are natyrally rich in glycerin that is produced during the saponification’s reaction. It’ll bring softness and moisturizing properties to the soap. A handmade soap, made by cold saponification will contain naturally, the unsaponifiabke portion of used oils and butters that will give it unique properties. The manufacturing process of industrial soaps would have usually denatures or even removes the unsaponifiable portion. We chose this method because it preserves the used oils qualities, and because it produces a very soft soap for the skin that is also respectful with the environment.
