EcoSeaStems bridges the gap between academic coral ecotoxicology research and the practical needs of cosmetics manufacturers. Our ReefTox test assesses both acute and chronic ecotoxicological impact of products on coral species, measuring effects on coral survival and health.

Contrary to common assumptions, mineral UV filters are not automatically reef-safe. ReefTox enables certified organic brands to strengthen their environmental claims, differentiate their formulations, and anticipate regulatory developments. We test up to 50 coral species representative of three ocean regions.
