Sustainable Cosmetics Summit, New York 2012

For the third successive year, Organic Monitor is hosting the North American edition of its Sustainable Cosmetics Summit in New York City. Taking place at the Intercontinental New York Barclay on 17-19 May 2012, focal themes of this seventh edition are green formulations and sustainable packaging. The major technical issues of formulating green cosmetics (natural & organic) are covered in a dedicated session and interactive workshop. With the use of case studies, the gamut of sustainable packaging options is reviewed. As in previous editions, case studies will be given of cosmetic & ingredient companies at the cutting edge of sustainable development

Organized by Organic Monitor, the Sustainable Cosmetics Summit is a series of international summits that focuses on the leading issues the beauty industry faces concerning sustainability, natural, organic, fair trade and ecological products. The aim of the summit is to encourage sustainability in the beauty industry by bringing together key stake-holders and debate these major issues in a high-level forum.
