UNDERSTANDING COSMEBIO LABELS

Cosmebio labels offer a guarantee to customers that the labeled cosmetics they purchase comply with Environmental standards and are truly organic. Two of our trademark logos are registered with the INPI (French National Institute for Intellectual Property). These logos distinguish two certification standards approved by an independent certification body.

These easily identifiable labels attest that product composition complies with the following criteria :

BIO Label

• At least 95% natural ingredients or derived from natural sources.
• At least 95% of plant ingredients are produced by Organic Farming
• At least 10% of product contents are produced by Organic Farming

Note: Cosmetics often contain 50 to 80% water, which cannot be certified as organic.

Eco label :

• At least 95% natural ingredients or derived from natural sources.
• At least 50% of plant ingredients are produced by Organic Farming
• At least 5% of product contents are produced by Organic Farming

As the owner of these logos, only Cosmebio is entitled to allow their use. Logos can only be used once the required licences and /or certifications have been delivered by the certification body and the membership dossier has been validated by Cosmebio. Members agree to use the logos in compliance with the rules set by Cosmebio.
